Steffanies Place

A favourite place of ours when we visit South Africa, Steffanies never disappoints. Look forward to going again before we go back to the UK

Steffanie's Place has a very quiet and warm atmosphere, the food was amazing and the service was excellent, as always. We will definitely be returning.

It was a very delightful experience, the food were superb ! We will definitely be back soon again.

I've been to five restaurants in my 12 day stay in Cape Town so had a good yard stick and had fish at all as well.
I was a guest at Steffanies which I heard rave reviews about. The layout of the restaurant is very good, our booth was exceptional and the service great, but!
I had the Calamari starter, fish of the day which was Derado and then the Choc Tort for dessert. The starter was very small and dry and at R98 quite shocking to be honest.
The main, Derado fish was 8/10, incredibly simple, The rice option was effectively Tastic polished stuff with no imagination and that was it. There were no veggies, The other mains in the party of 5 were also not fine dining from a visual point of view although I cannot comment on the taste.
If I have to give an analogy it would be "emperors new clothes". The chef must up his game you can't charge this kind of money and serve such bland food. Fish was tasty though.

STEPHANIE'S Place many times and always enjoyed ourselves. We were there yesterday with a friend from ENGLAND WHO HAS ALSO enjoyed going to Stepahanie's on other occasions when in SA.
