The Lebanese Bakery & Kitchen

The Lebanese Bakery and Kitchen is nestled in the corner of Imam Haron Road, Claremont and makes a wide selection of specialty breads, authentic mezzes, Manakish (Lebanese flatbread) and Fatayer. Renowned for their fluffy pita, the bakery boasts a wide selection of freshly made Saj (wraps), Ka’ak (handbag shaped bread) and baked dipping breads available in white and brown flour variations.

Popular dishes include fatayer (a triangular pie that can be stuffed with cheese, meat or spinach fillings), Manakish (a round flatbread with a number of toppings to choose from), falafel sandwiches and a banter’s choice of falafel bowls. Breakfast is always available with a choice of traditional Shakshuka, Mediterranean Plates and Pita Scrambles.

The deli is stocked daily with traditional hummus, toumeya, sliced aubergines, mohammara, tahina sauce, zhoug, butternut dip, labneh and much more. The pantry consists of a wide range of imported products from Syria with delicacies such as rose water, pomegranate molasses and ma’amoul cookie shapers.
