Nestled between the Palmiet Mountains of the Overberg region is Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate, where fine wine meets exquisite dining. This Walker Bay luxury estate in Hermanus is home to the Moody Lagoon
restaurant, known for the chef's extraordinary flavour combinations.
Moody Lagoon's kitchen is the domain of Namibian born Executive Chef Annie Badenhorst, who is classically trained in French cuisine. The young chef uses her love of all things fresh and natural to create an outstanding South African dining experience which is casual during the day and more elaborate at night.
The cuisine is deliciously prepared from fresh, local produce to create French and English inspired menus. An a la carte or chef's tasting menu is expertly paired with complimentary Benguela Cove estate wines for guests to enjoy while dining.
Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate is also open for vineyard tours, wine tastings on the lagoon, live music on Sundays and wine tastings and pairings at the Tasting Room.
From Cape Town head southeast on the N2 towards Hermanus. Take a slight left and continue onto R43. Turn right and Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate will be on your left.
