Welcome to Lotus Thai by Sasipin Somngam-Irsigler

Sasipin came to South Africa 2001 and got married to Dr. Gernot B Irsigler.

She used to work at Minibea Thai Ltd, (Japanese company) section quality control. Since then Sasipin and her family team ventured into the food industry where they have experience in the Thai food industry in Thailand and have introduced authentic exotic Thai food to South Africa.

She started her first Restaurant in 2005 in Pretoria East for 10 years. Then her second Restaurant 2008 in Brooklyn. Since November 2019 she then moved to 19 Dely Road, Hazelwood, Pretoria.

Sasipin opened a restaurant with love and quality for cooking!!! She uses her Mothers traditional recipes for cooking and sent her family team to Conservative Thai cooking course in Bangkok Thailand. She grows Thai herb herself at home to use them for fresh ingredients in her restaurant.

Lotus Thai Restaurant is situated off the bustling suburban streets of Hazelwood, where you will walk into a spacious interior with traditional Thai decor, relaxing music where you can indulge in beautifully plated authentic Thai food and Sushi.

She also opened up a Lotus Thai Wellness Centre in Faerie Glen, Pretoria many years ago where they practice authentic traditional Thai massages and treatments. The Spa is run and managed by Thai therapists that have a wealth of knowledge in traditional healing, stress management and beauty toning and conditioning.

Sasipin supervises and puts all her love and dedication into her Restaurant and Wellness Centre and thanks all customers for their support.
