Bellagio's new location (with the added bonus of secure parking right outside the door) is proving to be very popular judging by the full tables for both lunch and evening trade. The interior comprises two inter leading seating areas - one houses the well stocked bar with its fine selection of local as well as imported wines, and the other the sushi counter. There is a wrap around outside area with plenty of umbrellas to ensure shady seating for alfresco dining throughout the day.
The eye catching blue and white striped theme is visible throughout from the cushions and blinds to the chic restroom walls, and even the waiters are smartly attired in crisp blue and white striped shirts. The overall impression is that the decor seamlessly blends with the wooden floors, rattan chairs and colorful paintings to complete the Mediterranean feel, and that little extra touch is provided by the fresh roses on each table.
Recommendations on the starter menu include the salmon tartare, crab capalini and the popular seared tuna with ceviche dressing. For main course you can't go wrong with seared salmon with asparagus and salsa Verdi, the seafood risotto or the Sicilian style sirloin with capers, anchovies and olives. If you still have room for dessert try the chocolate praline or the honeycomb ice cream!
