The Rock - Kyalami

Good location at a small mall. Plenty of parking with indoor and outdoor seating, nice vibe. Service is good and food average. Enjoyed the candy apple cocktail.

Greeted by the day manager and shown our usual table. Ordered from the Lunchtime Business menu which is varied and good value. Prawns and steak ordered The Prawns were well cooked but the medium-rare steak was very tough. Poor butchery or not matured enough? I left more than half the 220gm portion. No question from the waiter as to why the steak was uneaten! Re-training needed after a long break?

Overpriced!!! To pay R250.00 for a steak with nothing else on a plate os totally over the top! Some side chips/fries (maybe 20!)So not worth it! Expecting us to support restaurants after lock down but there is no way you can motivate this price. Not value for money.

Went there with frineds several times. The place has special offers for all days. E.g. rib night for 50%, sushi, etc. HUUUGE portions, good prices. Highly recommended.

We always enjoy this spot for our date night. The service is always excellent and the food amazing. One place we never have to wait forever to before we get our food. Great place to place to spend your weekend evenings. Fridays always have a nice vibe but I'm sure other days are just as great.

This restaurant has an early start with a good breakfast selection and one free coffee. We go regularly for the business lunch special which is excellently priced and always of good quality.

Had a good dinner here last week with a business associate. The food was rather good, but the service was a bit too enthusiastic.

Second time visiting The Rock and I was again blown away by the service. The team is phenomenal and attentive, energized and efficient in serving customers. It was our last friends get together for 2019, and we all enjoyed ourselves. We were all satisfied with the dishes we chose, it is worth visiting over and over again.

As my favourite restaurant (La Trinita) is closed on Mondays I tried this. Looks not bad from outside. Also staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. Now to the food: I had Chicken wings with Piri-Piri sauce as starter what was good and as main dish Calamari and Hare. The calamari were wobbly and oversalted and the breading of the hare was dripping from oil. Close to uneatable. French fries were good. Conclusion: never ever again

What a GR8 business lunch. Hot skillet, perfectly cooked medium rare steak and ice-cold lager in a frosted glass.Attentive staff who have some urgency.Goodbye old school and welcome The Rock!Great value too. I'll be back for the ribs.
