The Hussar Grill - Franschhoek

We had an amazing night with the most amazing waiter. His name was Blessing. He had us belly laughing and really went out of his way to make it a great evening. He had great knowledge of meat and knew exactly what wine to recommend. The food was also prepared to perfection. Soft juicy pork belly and soft buttery tender steaks cooked perfectly. Can't recommend this place enough.

An absolutely fantastic experience at Hussar Grill - Blessing was our waiter and really made us feel comfortable and advised on really good meal options regardless of price. Today (Sunday 28 2020) our extended family (22 people) went to Hussar Grill, Franchoek for a late lunch. We received exemplary customer service from this awesome establishment managed by Patrick (Manager). They went out of their way to make us comfortable and ensured the food was prepared to a very high standard. I would like to encourage everyone wanting a special dining experience to support Hussars, Franchoek. Great late lunch.Great food and wine.Great setting centrally located and adjacent to the Protea Hotel. A great hotel to live at. It is a bit expensive, but the food is great.

To all the staff at Hussar Grill Franschhoek just a huge WELL DONE for the fantastic beautiful experience. From Being welcomed by Michelle and fantastic Service from Steve to the fantastic starters of mussels and marrow bones to the Chateaubriand and Carpetbagger that was perfectly cooked. A real treat .

I had to run out after being fed nuts after I specifically telling the server and manager about my allergy. This is completely unacceptable and could lead to killing someone. This was after waiting over 1.5 hours to be served our main course when we submitted our order with the server on arrival. They fed me an apology dessert *with* chunks of nuts!!! Our server confirmed this after I started having an allergic reaction. I cannot believe the carelessness of the staff when explicitly telling them about the allergy. This is awful service and I hope they take this as a big deal to make sure this never happens again.

Lovely food, atmosphere, & proactive service! Kids lapped up their dinner & we will definitely return for great steak.

Stay was excellent but a special thanks to Angie the Restaurant Mangeress for her excellent service and her pleasant personality. Well done Angie.

We had lunch at the restaurant it was rather full but the service was exceptional. At least 3 different members of staff came to enquire whether we were happy with the food etc. We had our choice of seats and it was very cozy. Reminiscent of some bistros in Ireland, we've been to.The steaks were out of this world! So soft, yoi could probable eat it with a spoon!I loved it there, and it will be my go to grill, when i visit Franschoek again. Well done, Hussar!
