Tapas & Oysters

Tapas & Oyster Bar has a very pub-like vibe, but it is also quite a nice place to have a romantic night out if you find a quiet spot in the corner. They also had a live act the night we went which was nice and chill.

We came on a half price sushi night so we had salmon sashimi and some rainbow rolls. The salmon was fresh and the sushi was made well. We also had the calamari tapas which was tasty and flavourful, although the calamari was a bit chewy. Their frozen Margherita was tasty, and of course you have to have their special Chiquila oysters which were excellent.

I've never been a huge fan of tapas restaurants, as they always end up being quite pricey as the plates add up and the portions aren't enough unless you have a few each. So we opted for a few plates as starters (as I wanted to get my oyster fix for the day) and went to share a pizza some where else after.

Every time I come here, there's a good vibe, great food, and attentive service. My partner and I arrived for an early lunch yesterday and managed to just beat the lunchtime hordes. Our service was quick and efficient.
