So, my sister use to study here. I remember her telling us stories of the restaurant part of the school. 18 years after she graduated, we all went there for the first time. AMAZING.Friendly friendly friendly staff! Professional staff! These guys were so knowledgeable about everything! Me and my family had so much fun here. AMAZING!I recommend this place 100%!

We do not get out much. Working in the hospitality industry dictates that long hours and little sleep is the norm rather than the exception. When we do make the effort we cross our fingers and hope for an experience and a meal that we would not be able to create at home.Enter Odd Plate.We were greeted with a smile that could light up the sky. we were seated most professionally. We ordered our pre-dinner cocktail-on recommendation. We had a chat; no need to rush these things; and got a bottle of wine. Service was always 'there' without being obtrusive. We had a meal. Now look; I love cooking. I hunt, grow and gather most of my daily food. When I go out for a meal, I eat something that I can learn from or something I cannot produce. My quail was succulent, done to the T. Nadea's fillet was, and do not take this lightly, sublime.In the hospitality industry, we ask our servers to be like 'ghosts'. Be there when needed, but out of the conversation. out of the comfort zone. Done with perfection.We loved our desert. We loved the wine We loved the conversation.Would I recommend Odd Plate?Yes! without a doubt.

We heard about this restaurant from a talk by Prue Leith herself in the UK so decided to visit when we were in South Africa. The experience did not disappoint, the waiters- Ladi was brilliant, and front of house staff were exceedingly helpful and attentive with good recommendations with wine pairing. The food itself was excellently presented for each course and packed full of flavour. We even managed to share a cheeseboard at the end to sample more so we left feeling very full and content!

Dinner was i such a special Evening at Prue Leith. The service is excellent and they make you and your guests feeling so special. We had a set Menu and the Food was just excellent. The service with the wines was prompt and the glasses were topped up all the time. To the team of 2017 all the best with your finals this year.

Our first time there. Hidden gem for sure! Ambiance was wonderful, romantic with fireplace keeping us warm. Service was excellent with food to match. Impressive wine list with big variety of wooded and unwooded white wine. Red wine we had was a very tasty 2009 Hilton Merlot. Complimentary selection of breads to get the pallet going, don't over induldge. Starters was wonderful. Mains just as good and portions big enough. The desserts was exquisite. Well done to the chefs in training. We will be back.

We try to go there for special,occasions and have never been disappointed. The food pairing with wines is a highlight and always a pleasant surprise. Not all dishes will always be to everyone's taste but there are more delicious dishes than the odd one that they might not enjoy as much as the others. Always a good choice.

It was a nice relaxing evening. The restaurant was quiet, but neatly nestled away in a popular suburb. The food and service was great, and I would definitely visit again.

A recent fine dining Valentine's celebration was marred by an overall lack of attention to detail. My wife and I attended the restaurant for the first time on Saturday 13 February 2016 with high hopes. Unfortunately theses hopes were dashed almost immediately when our waitress insisted on us having to choose a starter from a set menu with wine pairing. It also took a while for her to understand that each course was meant to be served with a different wine. The fact that she was very inexperienced was forgivable, but the fact that she was so poorly prepared was not.Unfortunately the quality of the food was not at the standard one would expect. The starters were bland and completely lacked any wow factor. One of the mains featuring a beautiful cut of fish was not seasoned at all, and our waitress forgot to bring us the final dessert course. In the end the experience and the food was nowhere near worth the bill that needed to be paid. In the future for the same amount of money I will most definitely rather visit a restaurant where I know I will get my money's worth.
