Pigalle - Sandton

We went for a friends birthday celebration. Service was ok. As for the food the sea food was not great at all tried calamari over cooked, Bday lady tried the baby king klip it was soggy and blend they replaced it with prawns which had a terrible sauce on them.

Good Portuguese flavoured Shellfish & Seafood Faire in Sandton. A large varierty of fresh shellfish & sea food in the city with no natural water source & yet here you taste both some of the best sea food & Portuguese favours in town. Oysters & Prawns are always fresh & delicous. A menu for all taste buds even the steak looks good. I thoroughly enjoy a Prawn & Langoustine platter always at Pigalle

Visited during the week and got a quiet table in the more private part of the restaurant. Good selection of starters and main courses. However, the menu did not have as many options as before COVID lockdown started. The sea food dishes and the Portuguese fillet were tasty and of a high quality. Another highlight of the evening was the attentive and friendly service of Charity, the waitress. Will visit again when in the vicinity.

Took my mum to Pigalle on Sunday for a birthday lunch. It was my first time here so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I can honestly say that I would come back.The food was amazing and well-presented. The staff was also extremely friendly and accommodating.This was a family visit but I can definitely see the potential to move some of my business lunches here as well, if that is something that can be accommodated.

It used to be a very good restaurant, sadly no more. They came up with a "corona menu" that might have done well in Sparta maybe. I don't understand why they don't just close down coz at this rate nobody will ever go there anymore. Food and menu have gone down, service has gone down, but the prices , eish no, have gone up ! They will not see me again.

Splendid food. The salmon teriyaki was cooked to perfection, one of the best salmon teriyaki’s I have ever had. The lobster was just as good, very tasty.Good size portions as well.

Restaurant located in michelangelo towers inside Sandton City Mall. Excellent seafood ( fantastic prawns) and cod specialities very well cooked. Original salads. Efficient & attentive to detail service , wine list convenient and classical decoration . Overall excellent quality.

Eaten here in Sandton and the one in Cape Town dozens of times over the years and have never been disappointed by the experience. Sometimes the food and service is slightly inconsistent... but in general I have always had good service and great meals. This time the service was truly amazing, Artwell our waiter was fantastic and our shellfish platters delicious. I really enjoyed the prawns, langoustines and lobster. Even the chips and rice were fresh! The calamari starter was also fresh and tasty! Overall we had a great lunch! Don’t miss out on this consistently excellent restaurant. Menus are looking a bit worn and should be replaced soon hopefully without any major price increases as they offer good quality & value for money. Ali and the management was friendly & welcoming as always.

We used to go there often and returned after some time away. I was really not impressed. The menu has not changed one bit and if I see another malva pudding...!The attention to detail has disappeared, the vegetables were boring and for the price, it was a disappointing experience.

The starters were really good and both the amuse-bouche and palate cleanser were a good surprise. I had the duck spring rolls which were tasty, but quite a small portion. The snails are covered in grilled cheese, be aware. The pork belly was tasty and a good size. The meat for the main courses were grilled perfectly, but the potato chips were stale. The waiter quickly brought a plate of veggies which was delicious, but the manager basically told me there is something wrong with me as their chips are always delicious. The deserts were good, but overpriced.
