On The Rocks

A awesome restaurant, situated on the rocks at the sea edge. Real joy to visit. Food excellent and affordable. The staff friendly and helpful. Woth a second or more visits.

A long-standing favourite for both dinner and breakfast. Reception was courteous and COVID compliant. The interior is modern and uncluttered. This time we came for breakfast and were lucky to get the last table on the terrace. Service and food were good and well presented and we have never been disappointed. The coffee was hot and had a great flavour. The only negative is that on a lovely morning it is difficult to get a table on the terrace as no reservations are taken there. You virtually sit on the rocks.

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast, with a beautiful view of the waves breaking over the rocks. The breakfast menu has too many wonderful options! When food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious

Ordered some french toast which was really nicely done. Best view looking over the ocean while enjoying a drink and something to eat

We were treated to an amazing sunset view, a great wine selection and some of the best food we have had in a while. We will definitely be back soon.

beautiful place . Had lunch...prices reasonable for good quality food. The view is simply amazing. All in all good experience.

Everything is underwhelming. The food isn’t great (even the recommended dishes). The coffee is meh. If you’re a foodie and pedantic about great taste, DO NOT waste your time.The view is cool though.

On the 5th of March 2021 I celebrated my birthday with my fiancé and my mom at on the rocks. It was an incredible until I walked out on the deck and fell on an uneven step. Unfortunately this completely ruined our evening and left me with a torn ligament on my foot. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were great however something definitely needs to be done about the stairs as 4 people fell that night on the exact same place. Please look into this.

The worst food i have had in CT, tasteless. Very noisy place, far from being a relaxing place to dine.

Beautiful view but: the food was abysmal! Oyster were off and returned (this was gracefully accepted),; the rice second hand (i.e. heated up?) and charged for separately; calamari swimming in grease; prawns just passable. Waitron didn't pay attention - long, long delays in service and little useful communication; manager called out from hiding under the bar? (or so it seemed) a number of times - although very apologetic about the problems. The wait for a straight forward ; order for four people was an hour and a half and the drinks - no decent vodka, no lemon/lime margaritas and only one of the 3 choices of daiquiris only one available after ordering the other two! G & Ts were ok (cant really go wrong) and the chips were quite good. Another challenge was that there was no appropriate lighting outside.We have happily visited before but wont be back soon. Such a pity. Sorry folks but you really have to up your game on all fronts. Used to be a reliable seafood restaurant for a celebration now you would be better off at a much cheaper chain.
