O Pescador Restaurant

Typical Portuguese style seafood and more. Service was very good and food very tasty. Maybe a little expensive for what you get but still good food.

Great restaurant. We visited it after a long drive from Stallenbosch. Everything is very interesting! I advise you to visit!

We visited this restaurant for our anniversary dinner. Our waiter was quiet but efficient, which suited us just perfectly. We both had the ribeye steak which was the special for the evening. The steaks were cooked medium to rare - exactly as ordered. It was tender and mouthwatering! We ordered a mushroom and a pepper sauce and both were delicious. The steak was also served with a tasty Portuguese sauce. For dessert we ordered the creme brulee which was superb!

We had dinner there on a beautiful evening on the deck overlooking the harbour. Stunning setting and an excellent meal to go with it. We had the baby kingclip and the prawn curry and both were delicious. On top of it the service was really good. Highly recommended.

We had supper there and the food was amazing! The hostess made us feel so welcome too. I had the calamari and hubby had the espetada. We were both very satisfied with our meals and the quality and flavours were out of this world. I would recommend this restaurant any day!

A wonderful visit, excellent food, attentive staff. We loved our food, (steak prego roll with delicious red wine sauce and eisbein). Food was prepared exactly as ordered. Lovely warm, welcoming conversation with staff too! Excellent.

Waitress spoiled everything when we asked her to make our food that we didn't finish a take-away (kingklip fish and grilled prawns.She came back with only fish and whe we asked her where are the prawns,she was shaking looking guilty and she had no answer and went back to the kitchen.She came back with few prawns and we asked her where's the rest of the prawns,still shaking,went back to the kitchen and came back with prawns mixed with empty shells and other without a head which we asked the owner where did they take those prawns from because they definitely were not from my plate.The Big question is where did they take those prawns from (hopefully not from the dustbin and expect me to eat that.I felt so DISRESPECTED,HUMILIATED and DISAPPOINTED.What a bad first time experience that was,though the owner wanted to resolve the issue by deducting the amount of the prawns I refused and paid the whole amount of the bill because the issue was not about the money it was about RESPECT.I felt DISRESPECTED.What happened was not different from theft,someone took what did not belong to them.

We were looking forward to a great experience. I ordered a cafe latte. They brought me a latte made from tea. When I called the waitress. She argued with me saying “No, its not tea”. Then after a while she took it and replaced it. My hake was exceptional. But the prawns was chewy. The Trinchado starter was average. We asked the waitress questions like if we can get a bread roll. And she did not understand. We also asked about the cheesecake and she answered totally wrong. The owner/manager had to come and give correct answer. We will not return again. Service was really disappointing.

What a stunning restaurant. Situated in Knysna waterfront with beautiful views. We received friendly service and the food was very tasty and of good quality. You will see us again

Good service and great food with a beautiful view. Our mussel starters was delicious, steak mains perfectly cooked and the home made red wine and peri peri sauces fantastic. O Pescador is definately worth a visit.
