The fried rice chicken wasn’t too bad however it was the worst overpriced dumplings. 5 beef dumplings cost R55. The dough was way too thick for it to be considered a chinese dumpling. Very disappointed

I love their lunch boxes and friendly chats to the owner. We have also been there for supper and were always well fed. Food is fresh and varied.

I go to Hong’s on a regular basis and their sushi never disappoints . Even thou they’ve changed management but they haven’t dropped their standard . Their prices are thee most affordable and there lunch specials one can choose from .

When sushi rice is fresh the meal is normally good. The meal was very good and the service complimented the quality of the meal.

I always find myself coming back to this restaurant, if not for the great food then the easy atmosphere and friendly staff..I recently visited again for some Hong Kong style duck and egg friend rice... Absolutely superb!! My first time eating duck but I'm glad I did. The sushi will always be my favourite but dare to try something different you won't be dissapointed ;)

The sushi here is always top draw and fresh and their portion size is always generous to say the least. I've recently tried some of their Chinese food and also very impressed, far more than some other Asian restaurants.. Only draw back is limited alcohol selection and short staff on busy nights.. Definitely recommended for a spontaneous sushi craving night

Have been there a number of times, with ever-improving results. We always go for the sushi platters, and this last time there was a marked improvement. The fish portions were generous, and very, very fresh. A new waitress as well, who was cheerful, attentive and who knew her job. The ambience is not exactly brilliant, but it's got that authentic Asian feel about it. Please lose the TV.

Love this spot for tasty genuine Japanese, Thai and sushi takeout. Enjoyed the spicy Tom Yum soup, Thai chicken curry and prawn fashion sandwiches again last night.

You don't go to Hongs for the atmosphere or for a romantic night out. Its in a run down mall with the clunking from the downstairs bowling alley reverberating round the tables. However, the team are friendly, service efficient and the sushi great value for money. Not the finest sushi in Cape Town but consistent, well presented and fresh. I often get a takeaway and the platters take the stress out of home entertaining, especially if ensure that your party is on discount take away night.
