“What a disappointment!!!”
Haiku has always been a go to great restaurant but my experience last night has made it a ‘never visit again’ restaurant. The food was frankly shocking. Pot stickers were doughy, cold an inedible. The Gunpowder calamari tasted like it had been re heated amd somehow I ended up with twoMain courses both of which were inedible. The Angry duck was totally un inspiring and again cold and the rib eye was overdone to the point where it was chewy. The rest of the family’s food was equally as bad - the sizzling beef was drowned in pepper and the Peking duck was so tough the kids ended upmaking vegetable pancakes. First time in my life I can recall Peking duck being left in eaten in my family . It was an expensive meal for what it was but frankly that’s not the point. If restaurant’s hope to survive they cannot simply just open there doors and expect patrons to put up with poor quality to this extent.

“Horrible service”
Cannot believe this restaurant. Felt like i was eating at a fish market. The chaos is unreal. They want to charge R250 for a bowl of thai curry (nothing served with it- you have to order ur rice or noodles separately) but they can't get their basics right. We had to find a waiter to get our order taken after 30 minutes of waiting. The starter was laughable. We ordered prawn and avo tempura and literally got 2 slices of fried Avocado and 2 fried prawns. NO CUTLERY. So we had to eat with our hands and then no wipes were given before or after. No straws with the drinks they asked us to stir it witha chopstick. Ordered an indian curry that was supposed to come with rice but came with naan instead but noone informed us of this change. Also ordered water and got given a 1.5lt bottle (also with out the waiter telling us). Also the fish curry was soooo salty. Kitchen was closed so we couldn't do anything about it. Can't believe i paid so much for a meal and feel so cheated. Not even an after dinner mint with the 4 figure bill.

“I miss the old Haiku”
This was one of my favourite restaurants especially when one was part of a large group where you had a great selection of tapas which was wonderful for sharing. The menu has now changed and it is now not a tapa restaurant. The food was poor service was haphazard with no structure on delivery. This was fine when it was a tapa restaurant and we could share. Now one person can be served their food and be finished dining before the next person even receives their food.In addition the quality was not good with hard dried out noodles and a prawn which had 4 times more batter than fish.Never again

“Great food with enormous portions!”
Invited in by the doorman because bhukara was closed for refurbishment and we are so pleased we were. We ordered some sushi for starters and there was enough as a main course. The 2 main courses were plenty big enough to be split. One would have been enough for the two of us to share. Don't be put off by the big portions though because the food was excellent. We are only here for another 4 days but we will definitely be going again!

“Okey asian/Indian style food with medium service”
We arrived with an uber to this restaurant, is not the best neighborhood. We got to chose the table. We had some problems in the beginning with the drinks because we got warm sparkling wine, but I asked if I could change it and it was okey. We tried to order some white wine chenin blanc, but all was empty, so we ended up with one cheap souvignon blanc because this was one of the only cold ones they had.The dumplings was good, and the main course was okey. We ended up with 2050 ran. So okey price for 4 persons eating stater, main course and shared one dessert. Had 2 wines, 2 beers + coffee. All in all okey, but I'm not coming back because I missed the good service.

“Delicious and modern take on Asian food”
What a great Asian restaurant in the heart of Cape Town! We came here for dinner and were very impressed with the food and service – wish we had time to come for another meal! A stand out dish was the crispy broccoli ( we were not sure what to expect but it was the best broccoli I’d ever had! It is lightly battered and fried with a spice mix over it. Would highly recommend visiting if you are after modern and tasty Asian Fusion food when in Cape Town.

“So delicious”
We use Tripadviser everytime we're travelling and so we found this restaurant. The food was better than we could dream of. We loved every bit of the sushi, dim sum and the other stuff I cant even pronounce. Its dark and you think due to location its not good but it is. The service was exceptional even though the weiters had more than enough to to.

“A must eat at Cape Town ASÍAN tapas restaurant”
Superb food at reasonable prices. Attentive service but the food shines. Lamb dumplings; hot and sour soup simply divine. Oh and the lamb cutlets tandoor. A must eat at in Cape Town.
