Food Service Value for Money
“Could be much better”
This is a large restaurant with plenty of space between tables. But the food counters are close together and causes congestion especially near the toaster.We had breakfast here while staying at the hotel. There's a reasonable choice of food but nothing special. The staff were good at clearing away the dirty plates. On our first night we had dinner here. The food was very good but having to wait an hour for it without any kind of apology was unacceptable so understandably we ate out every night afterwards.

“awesome food”
located in the first floor of the Hotel, the restaurant has a great vice, brillliant views and the food is amazing. so much variety and the staff and friendly and even try to speak your language.

“Decent restaurant within the hotel property”
The service is average to good and I like their wine choices and they blend them with your meal order. The food is equally good although the breadth of the menu is limited

Food Service Value for Money
“Expensive. Poor food and service.”
To start off with, there were only 4 tables in the restaurant so it was a very quiet night. And yet we still waited over an hour for our starters. When they arrived, the mussel shells were not open and when we opened them, most had no mussels inside. When the mains arrived, the lamb shank was cold and the duck was so tough you almost needed a steak knife. The salmon and chicken were ok. We asked for the dessert menu (we were there on Restuarant Week and had a limited menu to choose from) which was brought to us. The options were chocolate torte and creme brulee. We ordered two of each for the table. The waiter then came back and told us they had run out of the chocolate so we could only order creme brulee. How this happened with only 4 tables in the restaurant, we have no idea. We asked why they then even brought us the menu to choose from when they only had one option? We insisted on being able to choose from the main menu as we had been promised a dessert option when we booked. They let us do so, but when the desserts arrived, they were not good. The creme brulee was nothing like a creme brulee and it seemed like they had run out of that as well and given us the deconstructed cheesecake instead. The malva pudding was dry and bland. The manager comped our wine as an apology but we still paid over R500 per person for water and a bad meal. On our way out, we asked the reception for our free parking ticket (there were multiple signs in the bathrooms and reception saying that you received a free parking ticket when you ate at the restaurant until mid September). The reception knew nothing about this (despite one of the signs being on the reception desk) and refused to give it to us. We then had to argue again until we were given it. Will definitely not return.

“Nice Dining Experience”
This bright, airy restaurant in the Radisson Blu Gautrain beckoned to us for lunch when we were staying at the hotel. We had just arrived after a 10-hour flight from Germany and were quite hungry. The hostess took us to a window table that overlooked Sandton City. We received menus immediately and made our choices quickly. I opted for the traditional South African Bobotie (spiced meat with an egg-based topping) and my husband selected oxtail tagliatelle.Our pleasant, efficient waitress took our order promptly and we enjoyed the city view until our meals arrived. Both portions proved to be beyond ample. We could have easily split one dish and still had leftovers. Though delicious, my Bobotie would have been even better with additional ingredients. The pasta brimmed with oxtail and was also very good. We left the table quite satisfied with much food remaining.We went to the restaurant around 1 p.m. and it was about half full at that time. Based on attire, most customers seemed to be businessmen. The noise level remained low throughout our stay and we really enjoyed our time here. This was a nice “welcome back” to South Africa.

“Excellent”
I stayed at the Radisson Blu and had breakfast here each morning. It was a perfect start to the day. There was a great selection and everything was delicious. They make omelettes to order, which I enjoyed. The restaurant has very nice decor and views from the windows.

“Poor service, food is just as poor.”
Avoid this restaurant until they fix the service and improve their food. In Sandton, there are lots of options, I was surprised that the food and service were as poor as it was. Waitress got the order wrong, didn't check with the kitchen if some meals were available after saying she would check with the chef. Eventually, we just ordered other food as we didn't want to wait anymore for her to go back to the kitchen. Food was delivered at different times, if we waited for all our food to be on the table, it would have been cold. One order was completely wrong and waitress argued that it was correct... my suggestion rather avoid, lots of other restaurants in the area....

“Lovely refuge from the hustle and bustle of Sandton.”
The bar is part of the hotel and has an expansive sun deck several floors up. I enjoyed a burger and a beer with a colleague for lunch which were well made and tasty.

Food Service Value for Money
“Stylish venue, nice breakfast”
Central one has been refurbished and is now a very pleasant, well designed restaurant. The views across Sandton from the window tables are great.I had breakfast on a couple of occasions. Diverse and well thought out buffet with a good selection of hot and cold items. Plenty of healthy choices. Bread and pastries particularly good. A great start to the day.

Food Service Value for Money
“Horrible service”
I was staying at the hotel and encountered the rudest staff I have ever come across who 'wanted to close early and go home coz it was quiet and festive!' The food was poor as well - I ordered a prawn pasta which was unpalatable.
