Belthazar Restaurant and Wine Bar

Most amazing calamari I've ever had. In my whole life. Grilled to perfection. Perfect flavours.

Today the 28 July went to Belthazar Restaurant & Wine Bar at the Waterfront Cape Town, Three out off the 7 of us ordered the line fish, cape salmon at R180 excluding our side dishes. My daughter had one of these meals. It wasn't tasting right and it was off. I called the waiter to come and get it, they replaced it with another line fish meal that was tasting okay, obviously she couldn't eat much of it, the manager came to apologise and can't understand why her 1st meal wasn't tasting right. For such an expensive restaurant they surely lack in quality service and standard. The waiter brought the little ones full calamari meals, we requested the starter meal for each of them and his solution was that they could have it for breakfast the following day. We paid R280 for a bottle of Boschendal Pinot Noir/ Chardonnay, expected the waiter to refill our glasses, it never happened.

They are expensive but worth it. Their steaks are done to perfection and they have an amazing selection of wine. Even the welcome bread basket is amazing. Great place for anniversaries, birthdays or date nights. The view of the waterfront is also great especially at night.
