Kabelo Molosiwa’ s culinary journey is a testament to passion, perseverance, and the power of dreams. Born in a small town in North West province, his love for cooking was ignited by his late mother, an exceptional cook whose Sunday meals were a cherished tradition. From an early age, he found joy in the kitchen, experimenting with flavours and recreating dishes he saw on television—his school lunch tin always filled with his latest creations.

His relentless curiosity led him to refine his skills, eventually pursuing formal training in culinary arts at Capital Hotel School and Training Academy. His career took off where he quickly climbed the ranks—from Commis Chef to Chef de Partie in just a few months. His talent and dedication secured him a place on the opening team of a well-known hotel group, where he continued his meteoric rise, earning promotions to Junior Sous Chef and then Sous Chef in record time. He seized a new opportunity at Protea Hotel Balalaika in Sandton, where he rose to become the Executive Chef.

Today, he leads with vision and innovation, overseeing four distinctive dining experiences:

1) Bull Run Restaurant – A premier steakhouse renowned for its excellence and a menu excitedly updated every six months.

2) Conservatory – A refined space serving breakfast and conference lunches.

3) Destination Lounge – A hub for gourmet meat platters, tapas, and private events.

4) Lords Bar – One of Sandton’s most historic bars, where tradition meets sophistication.

Guiding these culinary spaces is more than a job—it’s Kabelo’s way of crafting unforgettable experiences for guests while honouring his mother’s legacy.
