Olive and Oil - Umhlanga

Had a very nice pasta. Also ordered a margherita pizza which was ok. The two simple servings did take very long to arrive , over 45 minutes.

What a fantastic visit for us. Two ofif us ate pasta, one had a fillet (grilled to perfection) and one baby chicken. Honestly, the most wonderful meals and experience in Umhlanga. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

We had Christmas menu 2. Casey was great with helping in the arrangements as we came from different parts of the country. Chantal was an excellent waitress. The food was Awesome! Everyone said they would recommend the restaurant for ambience, food and service! 5/5!

Not too impressed. Dishes looked a bit thrown onto the plates and the stir fry was wet and runny.Service was fine.

We booked a table for a Sunday evening. The restaurant was not busy as there were only 3 tables with guests. Reception not too friendly, given menus without a wine list. On request we were told to scan the QR for the wine list - which was difficult to navigate to when landing on the page. The waiter dis not give us time to look at the wine list but stood waiting for us to order.Food was average. Pizza not great, the White fish and chips was good, the Honey &Mustard chicken burger tasted like mayonaise (would not recommend it). Service was not too bad, but overall its very average. Nothing special.

Good day/Evening To all who may read this review.It was my first experience at Oive and Oil in Hilcrest along with 2 companions.I must say that I was extremely dissatisfied with Atmosphere that was created by the restaurant on our first visit. The manager checked up on us late, The waiter forgot my order and the food took really long. She did check up on us twice and was pleasant to talk to however that did not excuse the fact that she neglected our table due to the fact that there was a larger table. She seemed like a capable waitress however I feel that leaving her to work in a shop without any body to assist if the occasion should rise that she began to spin as we call it she should have a shoulder to lean on when she is in trouble. I mean come on guys can we get a little teamwork for your staff! The food was excellent, delivery was slow but was prepared and plated nicely. I feel that the Moroccan Chicken pasta extremely greasy and the dish itself flavorful. We wont be coming back again soon.

One of the best restaurants we have been to in a long while. Excellent service and the food was tops. We both had prawns done in different ways and couldn't believe the size of them. We were told they come from South America. We left feeling totally satisfied and will definitely be back whenever we visit Umhlanga again

We took a chance to visit this restaurant without a reservation on a busy Friday night. Thought we would not get a table but the manager made a plan within 5 minutes of us arriving. Glad we got a spot because we really enjoyed this restaurant. From the food to the service, everything was PERFECT! Can't wait to go back!

5 of us had a variety of different meals including steak, lamb chops and snails. All were really nice and reasonably priced.

Good food and friendly staff. Try and get a table overlooking the road, for people watching! If you can’t find it, look up!!
