The Raj in Camps Bay is the latest Raj branch to open and the first in Cape Town. The restaurant situated on Victoria Street in Camps Bay and offers the best in North Indian and Tandoori Cuisine with stunning ocean views. It is the perfect setting to enjoy wonderful cocktails including the signature Raj Rose Petal - vodka shaken with rose syrup, fresh lime and cranberry juice. Also worth a try is the Spicy Mango Mojitio - Cuban light rum muddled with fresh lime quarters, torn mint leaves, chilli and mango extracts with soda over crushed ice.
The food is spicy, delicious and very traditional with the menu offering a large variety of authentic Indian cuisine including such dishes as Tikka Masala, Vindaloo, Khorma and Bhoona. All curries are available from mild to hot and each curry includes a selection of meats to choose from. A comprehensive vegetarian menu is available and a selection of briyanis and breads are also recommended which are cooked in the traditional ‘Tandoori’ clay oven.
