The Brazen Head Boksburg is a 250-seater restaurant encompassing a semi-private library, a wine cellar (which can be used for cosy private functions) and the enclosed O'Daniels Room, ideal for groups of eight. A ventless fireplace is also situated in the restaurant. Smoking and non-smoking dining options are available.
The bar area is separate from the restaurant, offers a range of draught and bottled beers and screens televised sporting events on two plasma televisions.
The upmarket venue also houses a lively enclosed outside area with bench seating, a 4m x 3m screen used for televised sporting events and gas heaters.
The Brazen Head is a high-quality authentic Irish Restaurant and Pub, providing a unique Irish atmosphere and service to its clientele. All Brazen Heads are designed and operated under the guidelines of the "Irish Pub Concept" (IPC) a highly successful programme that has established 1,850 Irish restaurants and pubs around the globe. While they're all related, no two pubs look exactly alike.
In addition to the authenticity of the design, real Irish drink and food are also central to the concept. Incorporating all of these things, The Brazen Head is unlike anything yet seen in South Africa. Patrons who walk in will genuinely feel as if they have entered one of the many great restaurants and pubs of Ireland.
One of the great attractions of Ireland is the freshness and purity of its food: few countries enjoy such a high reputation for quality of home grown produce. Food is hence a very important part of Irish Pub life and likewise is important to The Brazen Head.
The menu features hearty, wholesome, reasonably priced Irish and South African fare that appeals to the local palate.
Authentic Irish beverages are also central to the Irish pub concept. Great Irish brands like Guinness and Kilkenny, famous Irish whiskeys like Tullamore Dew and Jameson's along with Bailey's are the big sellers at The Brazen Head.
Our range of draught beers includes Guinness, Kilkenny, Stella Artois, Windhoek, Castle and Peroni
Like in the great pubs of Ireland, The Brazen Head plays its music subtly enough so that people can enjoy the warmth of a great conversation. The sound of many voices will fill up the room, with the music softly enveloping it all to create a warm convivial atmosphere that the Irish call “Craic”.
