Sundoo is the brainchild of renowned restaurateur and chef, Seelan Sundoo. Seelan’s roots are deeply founded in Kerala, India – better known as “The Land of Spices”. This area is where locals refined their craft for centuries and became well-known as one of the ancient centers of the spice trade with Egypt, the master purveyors of chilli, cardamom, cloves and an array of spices with heady aromas and flavours.
It is on the foundation of this rich heritage from which Seelan established this innovative, chic, urban, New York style eatery that pays homage to the past while looking to the future.
Showcasing an intimate space, which only holds forty at its maximum capacity, guests are accommodated in booth layouts.

Travel on the N2 or N1 towards Cape Town City Centre. When you reach the robots at the CTICC, continue onto Buitengracht Street. Turn right onto Strand and continue onto High Level Road. After 2,7kms, turn right onto St Johns Road and then take the 1st left onto Main Road. Take a slight right onto Regent Road and the destination will be on the right.
