Located in the landmark Glengariff building on the corner of Main & Glengariff Road in Three Anchor Bay, Shift Espresso Bar Glengariff opened for trade on December 15, 2020.
A hip, urban chic fashioned espresso bar with a chilled atmosphere helping you get your coffee fix both on the go or chilling with friends. Our premium coffee is roasted locally, fair trade certified and made with pure passion.
Shift Espresso Bar has been serving the Mother City’s best early-morning coffee fix since 2014, when the original store launched in Green Point. Luigi & Gabriele Vigliotti launched the concept when they relocated to Cape Town and made a ‘Shift’ to the coffee industry.
The Glengariff Shift Espresso Bar outlet is owned and operated by Renée Brindeau. In her former life, Renée worked in the aviation industry as a pilot, leading to the aviation themed mural, The Pilot, in the Glengariff Shift Espresso Bar.
The heart of every Shift Espresso Bar is the beautiful Athena three group-head espresso machine, hand-crafted by Victoria Arduino in Italy. The manual lever mechanism allows our passionate baristas to fully express their craft in the careful preparation of the most exquisite coffee-based beverages. We can’t wait to see you for a cup!

Approaching From Cape Town International Airport (N2)
Take the N2/Nelson Mandela Boulevard keep to the right towards Cape Town City and continue onto Buitengracht Street/M62. Turn right onto Helen Suzman Boulevard/M6. Follow Helen Suzman Boulevard/M6 and at the traffic circle, take the first exit onto Granger Bay Boulevard. Use the right 2 lanes to turn right onto Main Road/M61 and head northwest toward Oliver Road. Shift Espresso Bar - Glengariff will be situated on the right.
