Owner Nathan Jankelowitz loves Italy and has a great interest in Tuscan wines. He used his passion to create something similar here on South African soil and even named the estate Bacco estate, after Bacchus, the Roman God of Wine.

The regularly changing menu is also influenced by the Italian ways and lives on in the efforts of Nathan's daughter Carla who returned after her 10year chef journey in London, to open the intimate eatery in the tasting room and together with chef Steff Hoefnagels, creates dishes using local ingredients that pair beautifully with the estate wine.
