Namaskar Express, an eastern bistro was opened by Jack Singh and his son Manu. Jack has been a chef for the past 27 years and he brings the pure Indian taste to the dishes made in the restaurant. The Singh's aim is to keep the Indian taste alive in the Cape and to make authentic North Indian aromatic curries.

Namaskar Express have a large menu with a variety of curries to try. Order the Kadai Chicken - chicken cubes with sliced green peppers, onions and tomato with a hint of yoghurt and topped with ginger and fresh coriander or have the Lamb Madras - lamb cubes with coconut and tamarind in tomato based gravy.

There is also plenty on the menu for vegetarians - try the Palak Paneer, Indian Cottage Cheese with creamy spinach or have the Malai Kofta, minced potato balls stuffed with dry fruit in cashew nut sauce.

It is a bistro with a nice warm, cosy look and a good vibe. Children are welcome.
