The Mountain Club Rooftop Restaurant, located at the Cloud 9 Boutique Hotel is one of Cape Town’s many hidden gems that should be on your bucket list. The double-level restaurant features an upper deck that boasts a plunge pool for visitors and a bar with maximum ventilation offering spectacular 360-degree views of the Mother City and Table Mountain. The upper deck offers couches and breathtaking views, perfect for soaking up the sun.
For the Winter months, which are just around the corner, the lower deck’s retractable roof can be drawn closed to keep out the wind or rain. The Mountain Club also keeps the Rooftop Bar packed with warm blankets for guests to wrap up in, along with making use of an outdoor gas heater to keep you toasty.
The Mountain Club is known for its fabulously famous cocktails. Guests can opt for one of their signature cocktails, or choose from a range of local wines, beers, and ciders. For those looking to grab a bite to eat, the Mountain Club also offers a full menu that includes dishes like BBQ teriyaki wings, chickpea arancini (Vegan), lamb koftas, and grain-fed beef fillet, just to name a few. There is also a full sushi menu for you to dig into.
