Any true coffee lover would agree that there are a few things in life that beat the feeling of coming across a cup of top quality coffee - especially one that's freshly brewed and served to you by a qualified barista! This is exactly what customers can expect to find at Mischu where great tasting coffee of the highest standard, is served by a team of passionate and qualified coffee experts.

You can't talk about the rise of Cape Town coffee culture without mentioning Mischu Coffee that opened in 2012 when the city's caffeine buzz was just a low hum.

With a host of "Best Coffee in Cape Town" and "Best Cappucino in South Africa" awards to its name, Mischu serves the city's early morning risers and coffee addicts with coffee, Mediterranean-inspired breakfasts, croissants and freshly baked home-made muffins from 6.45am. 6.45am till 11am is also this coffee shop's busiest time.

What makes Mischu so successful when, after all, the City of Cape Town has no shortage of cafes and breakfast spots? Capetonians will know that brunch in the city can be pricey, yet, even when Mischu is located on one of the trendiest strips of restaurants and cafes in Cape Town, it ensures affordability for all its customers by running amazing breakfast and lunch specials every day.

Mischu's list of accolades is partly thanks to their Isabella blend, which lies close to founder Mikhael Bou Rjeily's heart. He named this blend after his daughter who was born 1 week after her dad first released his coffee blend to the South African market. Isabella is a 100% Arabica coffee from Brazil, Guatemala and Costa Rica, with a mild, pleasant acidity and a dark chocolate and roasted hazelnut aftertaste. It is a full-bodied and well-balanced blend and according to many of Mischu's happy customers, it is the type of coffee you can drink every day.

When Mikhael first arrived in South Africa, his local friends kept getting his nickname wrong and called him "Mischu" instead of "Micho" as he was known back in Lebanon. The name stuck and thus Mikhael decided to call his coffee shop Mischu. Thanks to Mikhael, Mischu has trained over 4000 baristas and helped other entrepeneurs in the city to become small businesses. "We started small and we love working with people who dream the way we do," says Mikhael. Best of all, Mischu thrives on sharing their passion for coffeewith locals and tourists alike and are thrilled when people return time after time!!
