La Belle is perfectly placed on the historic property and overlooks the lawn, walkways and heritage buildings beyond. With seating outdoors and indoors, you can enjoy the balmy weather during summer and the warm atmosphere with crackling fire during the winter months.
Expect a sumptuous array of light yet satisfying meals – whether it’s fresh-from-the-oven bakes, organic salads with herbs and vegetables from the garden, mouth-watering patisseries, artisan breads, heavenly confectionaries or food-to-go.
Breakfast options include blueberry flapjacks, ricotta hotcakes, delectable omelettes, Eggs Benedict and churros. An array of breads (including gluten free) and speciality leaf teas such as ‘Cape Town Nights’ and ‘Chocolate Chai’ are also on the menu.
For lunch or dinner, the signature Beef Burger topped with avocado and served with tomato, crispy red onion, rocket and Porcini sauce is a popular choice. Other main dishes include Braised Lamb Pie with sweet potato, tomato, cinnamon and cumin. The Fish Cakes dish is served with Asian greens, wasabi mayo, chilli, ginger & coriander. Exotic alcohol-free cocktails, amazing fresh fruit juices, smoothies and a selection of alcoholic beverages are served.
Be warned that you will not be able to resist the gorgeous cakes, tarts, muffins, croissants, macaroons and other delectable pastries, all beautifully displayed. Pastry Chef Inge le Roux has worked at the Table Bay Hotel, Singita, 15 on Orange, and The Round House. Charl Coetzee is the La Belle chef.
The deli counter makes available the best of local and homemade treats including charcuterie, cheeses, confectionaries, condiments and preserves plus there a retail section stocked with exceptional items.
