Welcome to Irana Indian Restaurant

When a wise old man had a dream and literally ran out of time, someone had to take up the responsibility of making that dream possible. A chef for 45 years, he served the industry selflessly perfecting his art day by day. His name was IRANA Gooranah. Today Irana fulfils that dream. But this dream is built on the art inherited from this wise old man - the art of satisfying the most discerning connoisseur of fine food.

Irana Indian Food is the place for fine Indian food in East London. Irana offers a relaxed dining environment and owner Tilly Gooranah ensures that the restaurant remains authentically Indian. Since 2004, we have been offering a mix of classic North Indian and Mauritian cuisine prepared to the highest standards. Our curries are unique and prepared with fresh ingredients.

If you are popping in for lunch at Irana, order a Mutton Bunny Chow or a Chicken Roti Roll. For Dinner, order the Naan Bread to start and then for mains, try the Boneless Mutton Curry (with dania, cumin and turmeric), the Butter Chicken, the Chicken and Prawn in a tamarind gravy or the Dal Makhni (black lentil and dry bean slow cooked in a creamy tomato gravy). For Dessert, have the Gulab Jamun with ice cream or try the Mango Ice Cream.

Irana can also assist in the hosting of various functions such as birthday parties. Come to Irana Indian Restaurant and experience our high-quality food and service.
