Anny and Henk are the proud owners of Hamlet’s Cuisine, an upmarket restaurant in the Tower Center on Naledi Street in the small town of Dullstroom. The restaurant opened in 2014 and consists of a restaurant, a pretty courtyard garden, a clothing boutique and a theatre.
The interior of the restaurant has a gorgeous white stenciled ceiling, ornate fireplaces, mood lighting, dark wood furniture and deep red walls with white trimmings and gold framed paintings. Anny and Henk changed the tower, which was originally designed for stairs, into two romantic private dining areas.
Leading out from the restaurant is “Jo’s Wine Garden” which was named after the previous owner, Jo Moore, who loved her wine. This beautiful garden is situated away from the noisy street and guests can enjoy a leisurely meal under umbrellas on the lawn whilst listening to the gentle sounds of a pretty fountain nearby. Hamlet’s Cuisine is great fun for the whole family and there is even a quaint dollhouse, jungle gym and a TV where kids can watch cartoons.
Anny’s late mum loved the theatre and so the couple decided to build a theatre named 'Rachel's Theatre' after Anny’s mom, above the restaurant. Cabaret and Music Shows are hosted in the two theatres on a regular basis which provides great entertainment for the guests.
The Menu at Hamlet’s Cuisine has a wide selection of fish, red meat, poultry and vegetable dishes to suit any palate. The authentic Italian pizza oven has diners returning again and again for the crisp bases and fresh toppings.
