Diep In Die Berg Restaurant maybe open to the public for the first time, but owners Anton Van Zyl and Henk Storm have been operating it for 15 years as a wedding and conference venue. Located in Wapadrand in the Bronberg Mountain Range in Pretoria East, Diep in die Berg has a light industrial look with modern glass, steel and rustic combined. There is a large deck area flowing into the gardens with large trees forming a beautiful setting not found elsewhere in Pretoria.
The restaurant is all about food, the vibe and service excellence, bringing you food from around the world made the way South Africans like it. Red meats are grass fed and matured to provide a premium quality product. “Our starters are our mains! But we also offer some mains signature dishes which you will only find at Diep in die Berg. Our deserts are exceptional, so in short our favourite dishes are starters, mains and deserts!” says Van Zyl. “We offer an upmarket value-for-money dining experience with tasters, tapas and starters from around the world made the way South Africans like it plus signature dishes specially created for you! We are passionate about your dining experience” he says.
The menu is extensive and interesting with so many dishes it’s almost overwhelming. So one of Diep in die Berg’s tasting platters are therefore a good place to start the experience. Diep in Die Berg also offer a large variety of South African wines, with exclusive private estate options, plus various gins, cocktails and craft beers.
Diep in die Berg is now trading as a cashless venue, all major credit and debit cards welcome.
