Dario's Cafe Restaurant - Hout Bay

Dario's, Hout Bay famous Italian eatery, recently more than doubled in size and the spacious interior now features a Roman-style pizza counter. Sizzling Italian pizzas and pastas are prepared from imported ingredients including Pizza al Taglio or pizza by the slice. This pizza variety is baked in large rectangular trays and extremely popular in Rome as street food. Suitable for breakfast, lunch or late afternoon as this is the perfect meal, quickly prepared as bases are par-baked beforehand.

 

If pizza is not your thing opt for delicious pasta like Amatriciana, Campagnola, Boscaiola or choose one of six salads on the menu including Italian Salmon, Chicken or Caprese. Home-made burgers like Bacon and Avo or other Gourmet burger served with bacon, egg, brie and pineapple, are available from 11am as a selection of sandwiches and Italian Piadina (similar to flat, toasted pita breads).

The menu still features delicious breakfast options, all prepared with free-range eggs, as well as smoothies, vegan and banting options. There is a delightful kid's menu and authentic Italian Gelato is now available. Home-made cakes are baked daily and the beverage, juice, smoothies and alcohol selection are a good as it gets.
