The Restaurant:

What better way to spend an afternoon – tasting our local wines and cheeses, fresh oysters, garden salads, mezze platters and homemade breads. Set in the gardens and surrounding vineyards of the only wine Estate in Plettenberg Bay, with views of the Tsitsikamma Mountains and Elephant Sanctuary. Bramon has broken new ground by pioneering vineyards this far east of the Western Cape and offers their award winning bubbly, The Crags - a superlative still sauvignon Blanc and Vukani BEE wine range.

Bramon Wine Estate:

Bramon Wine Estate has produced a superior Sauvignon Blanc ‘cap classique’ sparkling wine, the first and only to be produced in the country, Plettenberg Bay has subsequently been classified as a wine of origin region. A coup for the area! A dry brut with the delicate characteristics of it’s cultivar. Green grass and asparagus with granny smith apple aromas and a zesty lingering lime finish. The release of their still Sauvignon Blanc called The Crags has added to the range and uniqueness Bramon has become synonymous with.

Vukani Empowerment Wines:

Vukani Wines, established in 2004, is an Empowerment Brand of carefully selected Southern Cape wines. Vukani, isiXhosa for wake up, represents the vision of Peter Thorpe of Bramon Wines for the creation of an empowerment vehicle for the local communities in and around the Plettenberg Bay Wine of Origin region.

Through the creation of the Vukani Trust various projects have been enabled, especially the training and development of local farmers, in viticulture and wine making in readiness for the establishment of a community winefarm co-operative.

20ha has just been secured in The Crags surrounding Kurland Village for planting vines for the community, mentored by Bramon Wines.

Driving from the Plettenberg Bay traffic circle continue for 21km on the N2 until you reach the black signs on the right hand side of the road pointing to Bramon Wines just past The Snake Sanctuary and before Kurland Polo Estate. Follow the black signs on the farm road to Bramon until you reach the restaurant.
