We were meant to attend the Women of Soul gig. The advert clearly indicated that it was meant to start at 19h00..When we got there we were told it starts at 21h00. Not impressed. it just dampens the mood.

This is such an amazing restaurant! It has a great vibe and has really good live music! A really great atmosphere and great food!

What a find! Great atmosphere, great decor, lovely staff and fab music oh yeah the food mmmmm. My wife had pear and walnut blue cheese salad which was lovely and I had squid. Followed by oxtail for my wife and rack of lamb for me. Malva pudding was my sweet my wife opted for lava cake. The food prices were very reasonable and compared to UK very cheap. The band playing was African Child who were brilliant and the whole ambience of the venue was great.

Winnie's has that perfect vibe soulful vibe that makes every guest feel like a part of the family. The food was delicious! The three resident chefs served up a Master Chef quality set menu while the wine flowed and the talented Sibongile Mngoma and band played. The brilliant comedian Lihle Mdimang had us in stitches; punchy youthful act that was bang on.We'll be booking again for next week, what a gem of a place! Family run with great mix of class, laid back funk and style. Happy to recommend to locals and any one visiting Joburg.
