Windmeul Wafelhuis

On a relaxing Sunday drive we decided to go "that place with the Windmill". We did some shopping then went to the Wafelhuis to try a waffle. We do like a good waffle and we were not disappointed. We are ice cream lovers and like to have a good waffle every now and then. We ordered a plain waffle with ice cream, golden delicious with creamy ice cream. Give it a try and decide for yourself. Thanks De Wald for your great service and keeping up informed with the power failure.

Food is good,good price but we are not a fan of anything else on the menu except Sunday roast. The manager saw we did not eat all of our catch of the day and came to our table to find out why - very nice and friendly and informed us they have a sister company that also serves the Sunday roast Kremetart ..

We ordered the classic waffles and ice cream on our visit today. Much to our disappointment we only got half a normal size waffle! It was tasty and the portion of ice cream was generous, but the size of the waffle doesn’t justify the price. Doubt I will go there again.

Thank you for the super friendly service and the waffles are super fantastic. We thought our day would end terrible, we were at the restaurant first and we were disappointed. You guys proved us wrong, thank you.

We went to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday this past weekend, and what a disappointment his special birthday lunch turned out to be.The milkshakes weren't sweet at all, very runny and not the size we were expecting. The cappuccino was also disappointing - too milky and small. Little did we know that the beverages were preparing us for the meals. The gents ordered the waffle with the chicken - what a runny, saucy mess! If only the price justified the quality (and quantity) of the food, you wouldn't mind paying, but what we ended up paying was a total rip off. The staff weren't very friendly either - you'd think that after three months of lockdown they would be ecstatic to see and interact with customers.This restaurant will definitely not be seeing us anytime soon.

After a weekend away we popped in for mid-morning coffee on Monday en route to Johannesburg. We were greeted with excellent service and delicious fresh, hot waffles. The magnificent garden surrounds add to the peaceful charm of this venue which I highly recommend.

I love popping in here for something to eat when I'm in the area. Not impress with the big spoon with my coffee. And the chip in the coffee set. But as always I can't find fault with the food. Well done to Management and staff for keeping a high standard. See you soon.

The kitchen need to get some advice from Dullstroom’s Waffle company on how to make waffles. The waffle didn’t taste like much and the ice cream was very watery and not creamy like one would expect. The staff were friendly and the restaurant looks decent.

My partner and I decided to stop for a quick lunch but we were greeted by a waiter who did not seem impressed because we were a mixed race couple. He kept staring at my partner when he thought we were distracted. I even caught him discussing us with another waiter who promptly spun around and looked straight at us. I was seething with anger so could not even enjoy my meal. Definately won't return there.

Had breakfast here because none of the other restaurants could help us , not great . The menu are limited to waffels , so you only have the options
