Ate here twice now and on both occasions found the food to be good!You pay more compared to others but its priced in accordingly when you take into account what you get.Nice personal approach by Chef Driaan

Best sushi in Johannesburg. Hands down. I have to go to Wasabi at least once a month to enjoy their sushi. Prawns are also some of the best I have eaten.

Service was excellent as well as the staff in general. Good food and good company! I would suggest it if you like sushi!

Visited Wasabi on the first Sunday 3 January 2021, was promptly greeted by 2 waiters at the entrance to comply with full protocol for Covid-19 precautions. I sat outside to feel the warm sun! All tables were carefully spaced out 1,5m away from each other! I ordered a Virgin Mojito which was refreshing. For starters I ordered a 4 piece tempura roses sushi platter and a Champagne Kingclip with wholesome steamed vegetables! Both dishes were absolutely delectable and delicious!

Went to lunch. The service is awesome. We had a sushi platter and a fillet on the bone. One concern about the sushi’s platter was that the Restuarant did not have one of the ingredients so they had to offer an alternative for one of the sushi’s. The fillet was perfect. We decided to have dessert, one of which was ice cream and a supposed bar one sauce. Unfortunately this sauce was nothing less than a brown sludge that was tasteless.

Running out of Tuna and Duck at 7pm on a Friday is inexcusable. For a restaurant selling sushi, how do you expect customers to return?

We were still weary of a sit-down meal but also wanted some sushi for dinner. So we opted for take-aways. Our order took about 20 minutes and even though were uncertain about the "at home" quality, our risk paid off! They truly make gourmet sushi (even though we had it on a bright yellow kiddies table - the juxtaposition [gourmet on plastic] but), every bite was as good as the previous one and the variety of the options made the meal interesting and exciting for the palette.

What a memorable evening at Wasabi in Mall of Africa. The food is divine and pretty too. Sushi is a must and the duck is awesome. Romantic or family outing. It’s awesome food.

had the shrimps with avocado a starter, which were tasteless. the main was salmon poke and that I liked a lot. staff is attentive.
