Turn 'n Tender - Parktown North

The most terrible experience with poorly prepared food and a rushed meal, which was topped by the manager asking us to finish off our meal and leave as he was expecting dinner customers shortly. Just unacceptable.When asked to finish off, I objected to the managers timing and said that I was still busy eating and he just stuck to his guns and asked us to finish off anyway.We stood in a que for the birthday special for about 30 minutes and were seated at 16h20. The waiter wanted to take our order before we even ordered drinks and said he will come back for a drinks order. There were 4 people. One steak was underdone and two were overcooked. The sirloins were over-aged (crumbling) and obviously frozen several times as the meat was grey and had flavour no juice at all. At 17h15, less than an hour after being seated, we were asked to finish off.Altogether a tacky experience with poor food quality. The waiter, it must be said was attenuative and friendly.

The Boss' Lunch is very reasonably priced and the steak was cooked to perfection. The servings are very generous and we loved the atmosphere. The best time to get there is around 12pm to beat the lunch time traffic. The waiters are helpful and friendly.

I ordered a steak and it came over done. It was replaced, but then came under done. I eventually canceled my order and watched my family eat. There seems to be a general apathy from management there

We have visited this restaurant a number of times in the past year and have never had a bad meal. Crispy and fresh salad starters with delicious steak on a skillet and mielie pap is my favourite meal. Reasonably priced wines as well. Definitely going again soon.

I eat at this steakhouse at least 4 time a month. The food is consistently good and the staff are wonderfull.

Once a year I visit this restaurant with a friend for a heavy lunch. On this occasion we had ladies with us. We started with a Greek salad and and I had prawn tempura. We followed with 3 types of steaks and I had pork ribs. all were very good. We had various drinks including a bottle of the house Merlot. A very pleasant lunch.

We came here with friends and enjoyed a lovely dinner. The portions were very generous, especially our starters - snails, chicken livers, calamari and marrow bone - were huge and very tasty. The mains were also very good - prawns, rips and steaks. And, not to forget the delicious gin cocktails! Would definitely come again.

When I get the chance to go to a restaurant, I try and get to Turn n Tender. The steak is out of this world. The sides and veg fantastic. We had extremely good, cheerful service. I would recommend the Parktown North restaurant. It has safe parking and the venue has a really good vibe.

Our meals here were SO delicious! My steak was perfectly cooked and spiced. The wine pairing was just right, and the side vegetables were yummy too! I'd go back again in a heartbeat. The service was so kind, well prepared, and informative.

I have a quick burger here earlier this week, with a bucket of delicious french fries included.The burger was wonderful and prepared exactly as ordered. The service was excellent!
