Toula's Greek Restaurant

I absolutely love this restaurant, the pita bread is divine and you can taste its homemade along with the hummus. Calamari was fresh and the sushi was delicious different and well made! Staff are friendly and, the manager Raymond was very helpful chatty and attentive! After everything that’s been happening in this country this place still doing a phenomenal job! Well done!

We visited Toulas on 26 May 2021 for dinner. We ordered pita bread for starters and it was absolutely tasteless. I ordered Kingklip and potato wedges for the main course and my wife ordered Mousaka and oven roasted veggies for the main course. The only thing in the total of items ordered was the Mousaka which was quite tasteful according to my wife. The Kingsley was over cooked and the potato wedges drifted in smelly oil. The roast veggies were also totally over cooked. I requested the waiter to rather bring me "shoo string" chips which was offered as an alternative starch. The so called shoe string chips arrived only after we've finished the rest of our meal. It was bigger than the normal size chips you would get in any restaurant and quite oily again . At this point the restaurant manager approach me and enquired about why we've returned the potato wedges. After explaining the reason for it, he indicated that the oil they chefa used were that of the previous day and that they haven't replace the oil of the previous day. I have noticed that one of the previous reviews mentioned that the owner is always present during open hours. I can state it that this is not the case. There was a so called " manager" in charge tonight and the owner was not there at all Secondly the manager in charge was not up to it to manage a rather small restaurant. We were left with a substantial bill for awkward food and service. Mr owner, please replace your manager or see to it that you are there to maintain standards. I would love to have an authentic Greek restaurant close by, but if these are the standards you deliver, there is no way I can support you any further.Best whishes in anticipation of excellent service and food.

Whenever we want to go out to dinner, Toulas is at the top of the list! Paul, the owner, is always at the restaurant ensuring everyone is comfortable and seen to.The sushi is the best in Pretoria by a margin. Fresh and well priced! They also have great tapas style meals which allows you to try a little bit of everything while enjoying time with friends and loved ones.The waiters are always extremely friendly and helpful.What can we say? We just cant get enough of their goodness!!!

Really great tasty pork ribs and quite large portions.However the Musaka was still cold in the middle and when it came back after being reheated , it was terrible!Not a place i will be returning too in a hurry- too many other options out there!

Why anybody would serve food on a wooden plate, is beyond me. It spells: germs!! Pastas are tasty and well-priced and can be recommended. The food generally is quite good and not too expensive, but portion sizes are too meagre (except for the pasta dishes). Service is commendable. Would I visit again? Certainly!

Paul, the Owner of Toulas Greek Restaurant, runs a really good setup, attention to detail, outstanding, personal service quite fantastic, and his prices are realistic, thanks Paul for a great evening.

I went there with my parents on their once-every-10-years-Saturday-night-out visits. We ordered the pita platter for starters and the vegetable and meat platters for mains. Food was as good as can be and the service we got from our waitress Bella was efficient and quick.

We try go at least once a month as our treat to ourselves, their food is fantastic! Atmosphere is perfect , owners and staff super friendly and helpful ! Sushi is the best in South Africa and their Greek meat ball is Devine! Highly highly recommended

We had lunch with my kids and stepmother. We start with the Pitta platter with patees. I had Mousaka and that was great, the others had Chicken Reganato, Calamari with wedges. What a great experience of food. Cocktail buy one and get one Free a Bit pricey for only on cocktail R 75.Then we had Sangria, great taste not to sweet. After our meal they offer us a slush on the house.

For my first visit at Toulas I decided to try something other than my usual greek meze. My choice was Bourekia, Bifteki (giant meatball) and Fried Zuccini which we shared. Every meal was tasty and well presented. The service was good and the atmosphere very greek. Would return for sure
