Totties Farm Kitchen

After a long absence we visited Totties this week. It was extremely disappointing. The place has an unkempt look about and the food was awful. Watery grey Bobotie served in a dish which had been microwaved resulting in the dish being very hot and the food being cold! I cannot tell you how disappointing this was. Bobotie had always been one of our favourites here with rich meat and flavours. We decided to have coffee and cake but again we were disappointed as there was no cake or anything else on offer. Definitely will not be back. Such a pity!,

Having experienced several sub par offerings in the area, this establishment was an extremely pleasant surprise. Portion size, content and quality as well as service was all brilliant. There was a friendly attitude and willingness to please.Just one word of advise, go hungry for sunday lunch, you will not be dissapointed.

We drove the 7 Passes route from George to Knysna and stopped at Totties for lunch. It has a great atmosphere with all the antiques and a friendly staff compliment. Anything in the menu is tasty and the portions are HUGE! Potty the model trains where not in operation, we will need to return in the future.

Totties will always be a firm favourite and our go-to place for a large family Sunday meal - but be warned - eat slowly as ALL the dishes are amazing

We could not have been more disappointed with the food . Phoned a week in advance and again the day before our visit to remind them we are a vegan family. Tasteless green yellow and red pepper and other indistinguishable vegetables in a wrap . A raw brinjal (thick slabs of slimy white gristle)with rice. That was our roasted (actually boiled) vegetables. Salads had no dressing or taste and yes , green red end yellow peppers was at the order of the day. A plate of chips was the only edible food .After all the good reviews I’ve seen for this place I’m sure the chef did not arrive on this day and they should have warned us upon arrival that absolutely no preparation was made for us. Family outing ruined. Thank you

This is still one of my very favourite restaurants to come to.I love the ambiance and old fashioned decor, the friendly and helpful staff and am never disappointed with the delicious food especially the variety of interesting and tasty salads.

13km from Knysna on a good road. And then simply stunning. Beautiful restaurant and superb food and service. Best breakfast experience ever. Well done all.

We visited for the Sunday buffet, which was just excellent. A fantastic collection of traditional and modern foods served with love and care. We will be back anytime. They also have a good selection of wine and craft drinks. Be sure to book well in advance - they are always full on a Sunday!

We didn't have much service as such as it was a buffet, but the manager or owner walked around to personally check that everyone was ok. The staff were on the ball removing plates but they did forget to place the complimentary sparkling wine on the table. However, it was such a nice thought and I am grateful for this. They were also lenient on charging my 12 year old an adult price as he didn't eat much. I was impressed overall although the place is so popular that we felt quite squashed in. It was worth it though!

We visited this establishment a few years ago and, although we then had to wait a while for the food, I did give it a rating of 5 stars. I do understand that our visit this time was during the "silly season" but our party of 4 had to wait well over an hour and no apology was made during this time, and we had to chase for extra drinks during this long waiting time.The food is second to none but I do think that a restaurant cannot depend on this alone. Good service is an essential part of pleasing the customer and have them return.
