Tilting Heads Taco Cafe & Margarita Bar

Been here before but tonight was one of those nights where I knew I simply would not go back. Although when we arrived at the shop we were asked if we had made a reservation I said no, we were told only seats were at the bar. We took those anyway till another table opened up. We then moved outside. We roughly waited over an hour to get served with avo fries and our 6 tacos. Do note that the food is pricey and 3 tacos can cost you R138 from what i could remember. So we initially had 2 types of tacos plus a o fries and waited so long. Previous experience of this place better than now. Iam very much disappointed.

Great service and yummy margaritas and snacks...fried avocado was amazing as was the calamari and nachos...nice atmosphere and a good time was had by all.

Our saving grace when a popular restaurant close by failed to deliver any food more than an hour after ordering. Only snag here is the location and state of the rest room. Service was efficient and food good.

Great to see cool places like this popping up in PE. We had great nachos and tacos and the atmosphere was awesome. Would highly recommend. Also, the deep-fried avo was delicious and something different.

It is a very nice place to go with a couple of friends, the staff is supper friendly and attentive and the vibe is amazing. I had vegetarian tacos & quesadillas which were soooo good. I’m definitely going to go back for more!

Had my first ever taco experience in the bay and it was the best by far! Food presentation on point. Do get the avocado fries!

I absolutely love the vibe in this little gem. The food was amazing and definitely the best Mexican food I have had in PE. The service was unbelievable and the waitress was a pleasure to interact with. I will definitely be back soon !!

We ran away from the very noisy 10 on Cape where we stayed the night to get away from screaming children and was richly rewarded with good food at this establishment.The owner is super friendly and the staff made everything possible.When we visit Port Elizabeth again we will return to the Tilting Heads.THANK YOU FOR A GREAT MEAL

Although the name is a bit strange, we had very tasty Tacos with a South African touch.Sofar the best outside Mexico.Worth a try, definitely.Tacos were made from corn flour.We will be back

Tilting heads location is great. It’s found in the charming Stanley Steet... a must visit area in Port Elizabeth. You could simply pop in for a quick drink (or a few) but you won’t be disappointed with the quality of the food either. My favourite thing to do is order off tapas menu... ribs, nachos, calamari, chips, jalapeño poppers and more. The individual servings of tapas are quite big so don’t make the mistake of over ordering. You’ll have a brilliant time sharing food while sipping on a drink of your choice.As far as drinks are concerned, they have standard drinks, but also obviously have some Mexican aligned options.It’s a low key - wear what you want - behave or don’t behave type of place. The Wall art adds great character. Very simple restaurant but enjoyable... and ask how you can be famous with your photo on the wall after drinking a speciality chili based shooter
