The Toad On The Road - Lakeside

would just like to Express how utterly disgusted we were with tonight's service at the lakeside branch. Me and hubby and my daughter after our walk popped in for a bite and our 2 friend's joined and like an hour later my stepson. Firstly the waiter was literally non existant. We waited forever to place our food order and everytime we had to look for service. Then we were told he is in the toilet, then we were told he was counting cutlery... well the shocker was when we left we split the bill. The waiter literally confronted my hubby to say that there is a problem with the bill. And me in the darkness needed to look for the bill in the dark... oh wow. It was because we only tipped him 18rand and he absolutely embarrassed the whole happy lot of us.. then he tells us that the tip is normally 10percent(is that not supposed to be included in the bill).. and literally telling us that we needed to pay him more.... Great for live sports, meeting friends and social gatherings! Pub grub style food and something for everyone

Went through to the Toad on Saturday and really had a decent time! The vibe is awesome, the service great, and the food not only really good, but pretty affordable too! We ordered pizzas for the table and they disappeared so quickly we had to order more! Will definitely go back for sure.
