The Hussar Grill - Waterfall Corner

Was left highly disappointed with the service we received from Hussar Grill Waterfall corner. We went there as a family, sat for 15 or so minutes with no waiter in site. Ended up going to the bar myself to order own drink. The kids ordered coffee and one of the glass cup was broken at the tip(do they want to kill people now?). We ordered, waited for about an hour until the little one got frustrated and broke one of the cups. No-one bothered to come clean up, fine, I then approached one guy to get us relocated due to the broken cup, and guess the waited said yes we can relocate you on condition the child doesn't break another cup-:(. Wow. Well we relocated. The kids couldn't take it no more, so I called the waited to bring us a bill for the coffee and drinks we already had so that we can just go. He told us the food is ready wait a bit - we wait another 15min but was no food. Mr Rhambo the manager came, i thought for a sec that he wants to apologise for the delay - but guess he wanted to complain about a broken glass. A glass, i even offered to pay for if it bothered them that much. Well we ended up leaving, after paying the R991.00 bill for the drinks and food - the food we never had. I guess we donated to Hussar Grill for their poor service - the restaurant was even empty. if it was full, i would have understood. Will stick to the one at Monte

Pathetic Service.Waited 40 minutes to receive our food.We ordered starters which arrived at the same time as our mains.There is no Management and Leadership within this restaurant.

I ordered a steak roll from this restaurant a couple a couple of weeks ago for delivery using Mr D. The ‘steak’ was literally inedible - it consisted of a very thickLayer of gristle on the outside and then was full of sinew and cartilage. It was nothing short of disgusting. Even my dog struggled to chew her way through this chunk of rubbish they called ‘steak’. I have feedback and have waited for a response before posting on Tripadvisor but none was forthcoming hence this review. The obviously didn’t care at all about the feedback provided immediately. Obviously I will never order from or visit this restaurant ever again. Disgusting meal.

The food and the service was amazing. We had such a lovely evening. The waitress always checked up on us and the manager also visited our table a few times. The food was delicious and enjoyable. Will definitely be visiting again.

I reviewed these guys about a year ago but I feel that our dinner last Friday is worth a review. We started off sharing a chicken livers in cream/sherry and the portion (R70) was more than enough for both of us and I can say I rate them up there with the best livers I have ever eaten. My rump was good but the fillet on the bone was fantastic (fall apart tender). Out waiter (Donson) was fantastic. great service but not in your face and we wanted for nothing. I am a real fan of their no corkage policy as you can take along a really good bottle of wine and you don't need to take out a second mortgage on your house. The Creme Brulee and Ice Cream Dessert was also good. A chocolate vodka "on the house" rounded off a good evening. Plenty of parking right outside the front door.

Firstly, let me compliment the food, the quality and preparation of the meat cuts is excellent. The host is assertive and friendly. Unfortunately our waiter on the way was not at his best.. he forgot to take our main order and took a while and another waiter to refresh our drinks... overall a good experience

Went locally for our anniversary. Great ambiance, service a little slow but we were chilling so not an issue. We both had the Hollandse biefstuk as we had ordered this dish previously at Hussar in Camps Bay. Equally good ! The no corkage policy added to our evening enjoyment. A good choice for an occasion. Looking forward to our next visit.

I was very impressed, from the welcome, to the waiter, to the food, the environment. Great place, very well run, I was very impressed. The steak I had was so tender, melting in your mouth Mmm! My friend had lamb Shank which was also perfectly done
