“Shocking service, forgetful waiter and wrongly cooked food.”
My partner and I have been been to this specific Hussar Grill a few times, but after a dinner there a few weeks ago, we will be sceptical to return. Before I begin with why, my partner already left a review a few days after we dined at your restaurant, and didn't receive any response from it.We had a booking, and were shown to our table right at the back of the restaurant in the corner (out of sight to the staff, which already raises red flags for us). I ordered a bottle of sparkling water and a glass of wine, and both took half an hour to arrive at our table. We asked our waiter numerous times for the drinks, and he said they were coming, which they never did until we asked the manager on duty for them. Then, we were not served the olive starter and had to ask for it twice before it arrived. Our waiter then took our order, and we proceeded to wait a further half an hour for our starters, but then only one of them arrived and we had to remind the waiter of what my partner ordered. After our starters, our waiter then asked us if we wanted dessert - completely forgetting that we hadn't received our main course yet? This is when we were both fed up and could have quite frankly gotten up and left. Yet again, we had to remind our waiter of what we ordered for main courses and that took a further 20 minutes to arrive, and when it did, my steak was completely undercooked, so it then had to go BACK to the kitchen. Shocking service to say the least. If our food had arrived on time, at the same time, and perfectly cooked, we could probably just forget it and move on, but that was not the case. As a restaurant, if you are at your capacity, then do not allow more bookings to be made. This was definitely the case this night and it isn't acceptable!! We also asked to move tables as soon as we arrived, and never did that happen... very disappointing meal as we have had some great ones here. In Cape Town, where there are so many amazing restaurants, it simply isn't acceptable to receive service like this.

I am also sorry that we never received your previous review, as we would have made contact with you for your feedback.Thank you for making us aware that we these have issues as we pride ourselves in service, but I see the server definitely dropped the ball here.
