The Hussar Grill - Kloof

We love the Hussar Grill in Kloof, and go there when we have a special occasion to celebrate. We visited last week, and we found our steaks this time were a little below their usual standard. When we mentioned it to our waiter, Eddie, he and the amazing manager, Bo, went out of their way to make it right. We were blown away by this outstanding service and customer care. Well done, Hussar Grill, Kloof. You deserve to do well, because this is what it is all about. We will be back soon.

Our evening started off with a warm welcome which continued with great in a great venue with a pleasant atmosphere. The service was so top notch and the variety on the menu just right for a place which specializes in red meat dishes. Despite the busyness, we were waited on "hand and foot" and our dishes were brought surprisingly quickly wt steak done to perfection. It got a bit noisy due to a birthday party at he next table, but otherwise it was a splendid evening.

first time visit to the place and was very disappointed - venue and atmosphere is fantastic but the food was a disappointment - you think for a place like this and the pricing the portions would have been bigger - we ordered the steak meals and to our surprise you just get a piece of steak and a small portion of cold chips. one meal was ordered as medium to well but we got medium to rare and when complained about it the waiter does nothing, your chicken meals was literally a breast portion of chicken cut into 4 pieces and served on a plate, for the value of money you think you would get a better meal, unfortunately I think Spur serves a better meal than you.was more disappointed when the waiter did nothing about the incorrect meal - why would we order medium to rare when we dont eat it !!!!!!!!!!!

We enjoyed a thoroughly good time for our first visit to the place and will definitely be going back again. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We also saw that they don't charge a corkage fee if you bring your own.

I had steak, chips & salad & was very happy. The steak was good quality, tasty, tender & cooked as requested. Chips crispy but soft inside & salad fresh. Service good. Ambience good. Parking convenient & free.

My sister and I visited Hussar a week ago. We could not believe how amazing the service and food was. Everything about this place is execptional. Most imprtantly, their attention to detail was just out of the world. Had the best lamb chops and veggies while my sister ordered fillet, amazing mushroom sauce and prawns. We have found our new favourite spot. Thank you for hosting us. I have managed to get my partner to agree to visit the place on our anniversary and I cannot wait to see him enjoy what they have to offer. Also, they are well prices. I would have expected that such a place would cost a fortune but absolutely not.

Attractive restaurant, plenty parking. Service was very good and the meals ( steaks and one chicken dish) were excellent. Good quality meat cooked to perfection. Will be back.

What a perfect night since walking in to walking out.Me and my hunny decided on this beautiful steakhouse for a date night. It was my first time at The Hussar Grill and I was overwhelmed since I got there. The staff stainding at the door welcomes you inside with bright smiles. Makes you feel very welcome and cozy I must say. Our server (Thobani) took us to a table of a 4-seater. At first we weren't very comfortable sitting only 2 people at a 4-seater. The restaurant was kinda packed and we understood that none other tables are open. We asked him to try and find us another table. Thobani then promised us a table in a few minutes, and not even 15 minutes later his promise was successful. We then sat next to the lovely glass doors and more comfy seating too. Awesome thought that staff keeps their promises and takes good care of their customers.I had a glass of De Grendal Rose and my bf had Beer. Very satisfied with the prices. We went straight into the main course as the smell and auroma of the steaks made us very hungry to be honest.I wasn't sure what I was in the mood for so I asked Thobani to suggest something with chicken. He gave me a few options in which I chose the Parmasan chicken served with mash! What a great choice! Thanks to Thobani I had the most delicious crumbed boneless chicken, topped with cheese (I assume) sauce and mash. I also tasted hints of garlic in the chicken & sauce.Very interesting. Ribeye steak with veggies and baby potatoes. Although I couldn't get a taste of this meal as my bf dived into his plate as it arrived. He was very impressed with the meal and did mention a few times how amazing it was. I had to go to the restroom and it was very clean and neat I must say. Well designed and nice colours too. Next Thobani lead us into temptation with some desert! I was already so stuffed, but we couldn't say no. Not sure what it's called, but we decided to share what seemed as a chocolate brownie and ice cream. Oh DEVINE! The brownie was nice and warm melting the ice cream into the chocolate and then melting when you take a bite. Never tasted such good desert in a while. Just when I thought I couldn't eat anymore, we ended our feast with a nice tiny glass of chocolate/creme liquer/ vodka. (unsure of ingredients)...hahaPersonally from my side to The Hussar Grill:You have an awesome and strong staff team! I looked around for a bit and could see that the atmosphere between the staff were friendly and kind. It's small things like these that always makes me feel comfortable and cozy in a restaurant. When the atmosphere is great it makes the food even better!I must truly just say... Well done to all. From the staff to cheffs in the kitchen, you guys did an spectacular job on service and presentation and keep doing that you're doing. Cheers! To seeing you a million times more.

Everything to enjoy at the Hussar Grill in Kloof. Very authentic and homely feel with its warm interior and tasteful decor, lending a special kind of coziness to an already palpable ambience. The service was great, their wine list is something to appreciate but their food topped it all. From the starters to main course to the complimentary drinkable hot dark chocolate mousse martini, the experience was rather sublime. A very memorable staff luncheon where all 14 of us left feeling like we will definitely be back.

We booked our end of year lunch at Hussar Grill Kloof. Excellent service. Tasty starters, mains and desserts. Lovely complimentary chocolate vodka martini to round off the visit. Fabulous all round.
