The Gardener's Cottage

This gem has been consistently good for years. When you find it, you feel as if you've stumbled upon a secret garden. The breeze rustles through the tall trees, the dappled shade covers the seating area, it is very pleasant. They take humble food, and push it up a notch. My partner and I had two different burgers, chicken and beef, and they were both good, anything but plain. I have heard that their chicken pie is a must. After the meal, I wondered inside and purchased some cafe goodies to go. There is a bakers selection, as well as assorted salts and spices. There is a gorgeous nursery that you can get lost in for hours. I highly recommend this place, for its consistency and pleasantness.

Since we had to collect some wooden sculptures from Right Mukore just around the corner, we decided to pop in at this restaurant for lunch. Everything looked so good and tasty that it was difficult to decide, but between the eggs Benedict and breakfast bun we were more than satisfied. Talk about delicious! We will definitely be back, hopefully sooner than later.

We greatly enjoyed our meal. Excellent location. We all had the Indian curry for lunch with a bottle of MCC.

Beautiful rustic setting in a lovely quiet area. Food was really really good and the cakes!!!!!!!!! Oh wow.

I had to find a place for breakfast in the area and picked the restaurant "blindly" - or rather based on Tripadvisor reviews only... Quite a risk as we were planning a breakfast with friends whom I have not seen in more than 15 years. Thanks! We had a lovely time. The unexpected rain was no problem - we were allocated a corner table inside. I was surprised that all requests for healthy alternatives (e.g. almond milk, no bread, etc.) were handled without the blink of an eye. All three of us were happy with our choices (omelette with spinach, omelette with cheese and tomato and the vegetarian breakfast with sweetcorn fritters). Good coffee, good company, an excellent waitress who allowed us time to catch up and chat away non-stop but who was there exactly when we needed her all made for a great experience. I will be back if ever in the area again!

We recommended by the guesthouse we stayed at and were not disappointed. I had the chicken curry and my husband had the burger. The curry was spicy but not too hot. We both enjoyed our meals . It was busy (Saturday) so best to book.

The food is always delicious, the best in the area! It is lovely being able to sit outside under the trees on a nice day.

My brother-in-law took me here for brekky after a run in Cecilia Forest around the corner. Without a doubt the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had in my life!
