We came for a late lunch and the outside area was buzzing with people ordering their happy hour margaritas. We sat inside which was quite empty.
The service was quite bad. We were served by at least 4 different waitresses and at one point we had to frantically wave one down to get her attention as the rest were all busy chatting to each other. I would have given the place a higher score if it weren't for the service.
We tried their apparently famous Chilli Poppers to start. While they were pretty good, they're not the best I've had in Cape Town. However the delicious mayo-salsa sauce they serve it with is excellent! I cheekily kept it aside to use with my mains as well.
I ordered the Mexican Chicken Fajita which was quite exciting... I love DIY food :D
Separately all the ingredients were great: nicely flavoured and fresh. I love refried beans and I was glad that they included it in the selection.
My boyfriend had the Fat Boy Burger which was also really good.
I think this restaurant speaks for itself. Margherita jugs, a menu which makes choosing difficult, and a vibe like none other! As a creature of habit I usually just go straight for the nachos but on Saturday night I thought I'd be daring and ordered the tacos. I opted for the soft shell taco just because it's apparently easier to eat and went for the Greek lamb filling. It was delicious!! It comes with chillies so if you're not into hot food they can make it without.
As usual I was not disappointed with the evening!
Your Local texmex go-to. From chilli poppers, to nachos to tacos, they pretty much have something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the pulled pork taco, and their lime margarita jugs. Always a winning combination
