Suikerbossie has accidently become a special place for us. Unanticipated circumstances turned a 2 week trip to Cape Town into a 3 month stay, and the Forest Cottage on the Suikerbossie Estate became our home from home. As a result we came to experience and benefit from many of its facilities, the kindness and thoughtfulness of its owners, and the tireless enthusiasm of its staff. The willingness of the owners to address requests and even to pre-empt them marks Suikerbossie out as a true service-led businessDuring our stay we witnessed many meticulously well-run and beautifully decorated weddings, joyful celebrations and parties, sumptuous brunches and other events where nothing was too much trouble for the team there, and even the most demanding guests departed satisfied.The grounds are well maintained, and have delightful views over both Hout Bay and above Llandudno, making it an attractive place to spend time outside.Whatever your reason for visiting Suikerbossie we hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

What en excellent place to finish your mountain adventure - be it a walk, hike or run. They welcome you straight off the trail, with refreshing glasses of cold water and a water bowl for your dog. Scones and coffee are just the best

This Restaurant is set in one of the most scenic views in Hout Bay, Cape Town. We have been on a number of occasions & never been disappointed. The food is really good with a varied menu and reasonably priced. Service is excellent both from Management & Staff alike and, as already mentioned the view is beautiful. On a good day one can sit outdoors in the prettily tended garden and enjoy a breath of fresh air. A few years ago we were guests at a Wedding which was actually carried out on the lawns at Suikerbossie. I would recommend Suikerbossie Restaurant as a 'must' for any special guests or overseas visitors.

This restaurant is amazing. Clearly the owners have exceptionally high standards. Had an amazing Sunday lunch at this fabulous establishments, this is genuinely worth every cent. Keep up the high standard Suikerbossie, you guys are awesome.

Being in a wheelchair is always a challenge when visiting fabulous venues. My wife and I attended a wedding at Suikerbossie and were blown away at the attention given to us during the the course of the evening. Not only was it wheelchair friendly but the staff were super attentive, special mention to Lana and James many thanks. David Smith thank you for your special attention and can proudly boast as a South African wheelchair user about your restaurant world wide. Thanks Dave to you and your team

Excellent food, venue, view. Will definitely visit again. Staff very helpful and friendly. Sunday lunch buffet is quite extensive with so much to choose from.

I have visited this place for so many different reasons over the years! I worked at an event, I attended a wedding, I attended a music show, had buffet breakfast and went for a cocktail with work colleagues and attended a Sunday funfay event with a DJ and more cocktails. During all my visits I have been welcomed with a genuine smile from the owner and staff. The place feels cozy, is always clean, food is delicious and views are spectacular! These photos are from my last visit during sunset. Unfortunately I didn't take photos of the inside this time.

WOW, what can I say, we visited the Suikerbossie on Sunday 17th Feb, We had pre arranged the Sunday Buffett Dinner prior to leaving the Uk with Dave Smith the manager. He made the whole booking very simplistic and was a pleasure to deal with. On arrival @ Suikerbossie our party consisted of 24 people, Dave met us personally and showed us to our tables, the venue is simply stunning, the food AMAZING, and service spot on. Didn't feel rushed and every single one of us had such an enjoyable experience and we didn't need for anything. We will most certainly be back..Dave once again thanks to you and all your staff .. regards Aidy
