The menu at Stonehaven is a delightful blend of classic South African fare and innovative, modern dishes. The real standout for me was the dessert. I indulged in a decadent piece of carrot cake, it was an absolute delight. Throughout my dining experience, the service was impeccable. The waiter Vivian were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu, offering helpful recommendations and ensuring my every need was met. What truly sets Stonehaven apart, however, is the breathtaking setting. Nestled amidst lush greenery and overlooking the serene Vaal River, the venue provides a truly tranquil and picturesque backdrop for an unforgettable meal. Whether you're in the mood for a casual lunch, a romantic dinner, or a special celebration, Stonehaven on Vaal is a culinary destination that should not be missed.

Wholesome time spent at this restaurant river resort. They are positioned right on the river (Vaal). Have their own brewery on the banks of the river. Their craft home brewed beer is really good. Also went for a 50-minute cruise down the river aboard Stonehaven's huge cruiser. See they also have a Cruising Breakfast and Lunch option. Ate our meal on the banks of the river in peace while our kids ran about on their lawns doing all the things there were to do.
It was an easy ride down from Jhb - took us about 55 minutes. All highway and easy to find.
Definitely a must for families.
