We stopped at this restaurant for a what we thought would be a quick bite! It turned out to be one of the nicest lunches we had on our visit to Cape Town. While we couldn't get any out-door seating, we were seated quickly in a nice quiet spot. Our server was efficient and very pleasant. Our meals arrived hot, fresh and very tasty. The quality of the sea food were very apparent. The whole experience was lovely.

I had some really great fresh sushi for lunch. What an amazing view onto the Harbour and a great all round vibe.

Sevruga is well-located and is just a little more formal than many of the quayside restaurants with white tablecloths and cloth napkins. The receptionist with whom we had booked greeted us in a very welcoming manner as did every member of staff we walked by or had occasion to make a request of. It is a very large restaurant which would perhaps account for the reason that an attempt was made to serve our second courses while we were still finishing our gazpacho and before these plates had been cleared away. The food itself was well-presented and very tasty. I particularly enjoyed one of the daily specials, the tian of prawns with the tempura prawns still crunchy in spite of having been prepare a bit too soon. The wine list is pricey, as is the case with most of the area restaurants, but one of their less expensive wines was delicious. Yes, I would recommend going to this restaurant for a relaxed evening out. We were lucky to be able to watch the full moon rising over the water!

The restaurant is very well situated looking out on the harbour with tourist boats coming and going. Blue skies and a nice buzz on the waterfront - a summer treat. The restaurant is well laid out with reasonable space between the tables. The service was spot on and friendly. We did have some issues with the food - the tuna in the poke was inedible being very chewy.

We do you start, the welcome, the table, the ambience, the service, the starter, the main courses, the wine, the espressos, all were 5 star. Recommend this place very highly.

This restaurant is definitely one of the bast in the V&A, albeit probably also one of the most expensive. The food is excellent and portions more than generous. To be recommended, especially for a special event.

Stumbled across Sevruga on a morning walk & thought it looked very classy with well spaced tables beautifully set up.When I phoned I was impressed with the manner of the receptionist when I requested “a nice “ table for two.We arrived to a beautiful table right at the front ... great view of the waterfront & pedestrian traffic.Our waiter , Martin introduced himself & explained the menu with both professionalism & enthusiasm. I chose their premium seafood platter & my wife asked if they could do a dish which wasn’t on the menu, lobster thermidor. After checking with the kitchen Martin informed my wife it would be their pleasure to prepare this dish. In my lobster based platter there was a choice of fish & I chose the sword fish. Both meals were outstanding. My gin martini was perfect ( you would be surprised how many places mess this simple cocktail up) . We are Aussies who have fallen in love with what you can do with Chennin Blanc in Cape Town. Martin recommended a beauty. Desert magnificent. All in all this restaurant did everything right from beginning to end & I have great pleasure in recommending it.
