My wife and I have been dining at Serendipity since they opened their doors around 20 years ago. We make a special effort to have at least 1 night here to dine and often as many as 3. We stay at the B and B then we don't have to drive!!!! Lizelle and her team have produced wonderful South African style cuisine from day 1 and her awards (including 3 World Restaurant Awards) says it all. The flavours that she conjures up are wonderful. If dining just 1 night it is difficult to make a choice from the menu. Really excellent wine list plus there are some very good aperitifs on offer as well. Excellent attention from the dining room staff who have been there for many years also. Serendipity is a must stop if in the area but booking is essential as the restaurant has a limited capacity. Dining here is more expensive than elsewhere but there are 5 courses for the meal and the quality and flavours far outweigh the cost. Currently the restaurant is running a special.
