Roadside Deli

What a surprise! No pizza AGAIN! this time because the pathetic owner is on holiday! We have literally stopped more than ten times and every time they are closed for a different reason!

Who would have thought that a pizza deli in the middle of nowhere would have been such a success?! This quirky roadside kitchen got this right...and it is such a fun place to stop on your journey, with delicious pizzas to boot!

Today we went to the Roadside Deli for Pizza at 14h30. Unfortunately a repeat of our January experience. No pizza available when you arrive.I understand the challenges of pizza dough, but if you are open till 15h30 then you need to be open, not closed due to lack of dough. Pity, as we enjoy a Sunday afternoon pizza but you need to know it will be there when you have driven 80km return trip.Last chance, then it will be over. Fix your estimating failings or customers will not return.

We visit the Roadside Deli everytime we visit South Africa. This time we managed 2 visits and we were not disappointed. The food is outstanding, the service is fabulous and owners Bobby and Ria are so friendly. By far, the best pizzas we've ever had. Delicious!!!

This is by far the Best Pizza World Wide and we are so fortunate to live in George where this only a short drive over Outeniqua Pass to savour this mouth watering Pizza. The Deli is owned and run by Bobby and Ria, lovely people and recommend all to support them and taste their Pizza which you won’t regret.Cecil and Lynne

We’re regulars here every time we come to the garden route - every couple of years and they never disappoint!! I’ve tried a lot of pizzas in a lot of places around the world and none come close to this place! The staff are friendly, genuine and efficient and the owners greet everybody like family!! SomeGreat views, a cold beer from the shop next door and great food - what more can you ask for?!

We drove out to Roadside Deli as we heard their pizza's are very good. I have to admit, it was well worth the drive, a nice outing from George on a nice Spring day. Beautiful setting, friendly staff and most important good food. Can recommend the pizza and you can even take your own wine.

Short scenic drive from George with superb pizza at the half way before return. The pity is that you have to remember any drinks you may want and take them with you. On the regular list.

Best part of our trip is visiting Roadside Deli. Their pizzas arw out of this world. I don't know if it's the atmosphere or relaxed feeling of being on holiday, but pizza has never tasted so good. And they never dissapoint(Only when they tun out of dough because of their popularity).

We stopped here out of curiosity and were more than pleasantly surprised! You can't go by without stopping here. Fabulous to sit down and enjoy an awesome pizza or simply order take aways and enjoy a little shopping. All kinds of interesting goodies to see and buy! Lovely vibey atmosphere and very friendly. Love it!! A true little gem... Look forward to going back when we travel that way.
